Metro Group’s Metro Cash & Carry in Ukraine appoints new Managing Director

Metro Group-owned Metro Cash & Carry in Ukraine has appointed a new Managing Director and Head of the Board of Directors, Jan Dunning, replacing Axel Hluchy, who took the position of Managing Director Metro Cash & Carry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Dunning began his career at Metro Group’s Dutch cash & carry division, Makro, in 2000. He started at Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine after six years as Sales Director at Metro Cash & Carry in Russia. In his new role, Dunning will introduce the strategic programme 'Shape 2012', aimed at ensuring profitable growth in the long term, increasing customer focus and which will make the company more transparent, less complex and more efficiently managed. Further improvements are for instance the introduction of a delivery service, a strong focus on the HoReCa business and the introduction of new private labels.
