X5 may remodel all store formats

Russia-based retailer X5 could remodel all its store formats, namely Pyaterochka price orientated supermarkets, Perekrestok and Green Perekrestok supermarkets and Karusel hypermarkets, Interfax Russia has reported.

At first, the retailer will remodel pilot stores in each format by the end of this year. The new store concepts include a fresh store design, a revised product range and new merchandising. If the concepts turn out to be successful, X5 will roll out remodelling through its entire network.
