Auchan group owns 91 Real stores

Auchan group informs about hypermarkets Real purchasing in Central and Eastern Europe. The transaction cost  - 1,1 bln Euro.

Metro Group sold it’s hypermarkets Real in Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Rumania to Auchan group for 1,1 bln Euro, the Auchan speaker has announced today. The deal is going be closed in 2012 under the condition that it will be approved by anti-monopoly authority of all numbered countries. In the future all purchased Real stores will be work under Auchan brand.

Real offer included 91 hypermarket in Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Rumania, as well as 13 retail gallery in Russia and Rumania. Real turnover in this countries for 2011 was 2,6 bln Euro.  Before Real obtaining Auchan had 98 hypermarkets in these countries.
